BEYOND THE CROSS
Pastor Willie Freeman
As we enter into the last month of this year, how would you grade your spiritual growth so far? Though this answer will vary from one person to the next, it is important to realize that this should be a question that we ask ourselves from time to time. I'm a firm believer that each day, either you get better or you get worse. You never stay the same. In our journey, we should be striving for perfection.
KEYS TO HEALTH
The Importance of Digestive Health & Weight Loss
Let’s get to the cold hard truth about you, your gut, and weight loss...
Proper diet is the key to weight loss, yes, but it really comes down to how you treat your belly and the bacteria that lives there....
That’s right, each of us have bacteria living in our belly right now...good and evil...think of your belly as a “rainforest” of many living creatures - a huge ecosystem! In order for your gut to properly work, we must have a balance of those bacteria - more of one or the other can lead to some serious issues such as gas, bloating, indigestion - y’all know the song from Pepto Bismol!
Too much of bad bacteria will cause your body develop toxins by the name of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) which makes it more difficult for your body to lose weight, increase Insulin’s resistance, and increase weight gain...ugh!
Well..how can I have that proper balance and promote weight loss? I’m glad you ask!
- Decrease Sugary foods and high sodium foods (French fries from McDonald’s)
- Increase Fibery and Veggies Foods
- Eat healthier fats such as Omega 3’s, Monounsaturated, and Extra-Virgin Oils - Consistently take a probiotics that has plenty of cultures
- Have better Sleep habits and Lower Stress levels
Treat your belly good and watch the weight come off!

WOMEN OF STANDARD
Woman To Woman
IN THE BEGINNING
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
